Amber Rose Denies Sending Nude Photos to Nicki Minaj's Boyfriend
Amber Rose has found herself wrapped up in yet another nude photo scandal, and this time it involves Nicki Minaj.
The 27-year-old is being accused of sending nude photos to Minaj's assistant and rumored boyfriend, Safaree. According to celebrity gossip site, MediaTakeout.com, an insider revealed that Rose leaked the photos -- one of which shows the model wearing nothing but a pair of heels -- and sent them to Safaree, causing a feud between her and Minaj.
Rose has since refuted the claims, taking to her Twitter page to blast the story as completely false. "These blogs do nothing but try to ruin ppls lives I DID NOT send pics to anyones boyfriend pls [sic] stop with the lies. Its so ridiculous. smh," she wrote. "Yall been doing this to me for 3 years now it shld [sic] be illegal to write fake stories about ppl [sic] the media never wants to see anyone happy."
This is the second time this year that Rose, who is currently dating rapper Wiz Khalifa, has been the victim of nude photo leaks. Back in February, photos of the blonde beauty -- both topless and completely nude -- were posted on the website WorldStarHipHop.com.
Last year, Minaj tapped Rose to appear in her video for 'Massive Attack,' the first single off her 'Pink Friday' debut. The Young Money MC also credited the Philadelphia native for introducing her to Kanye West, which resulted in Minaj being featured on his 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' album, in which she rhymed on 'Monster.'

Germany edge Nigeria, reach quarters
Holders Germany qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ quarter-finals, but they needed a 54th-minute Simone Laudehr goal to earn the win and end a determined Nigeria's campaign in front of a noisy, sold-out crowd in Frankfurt.
Germany’s victory also confirmed France’s progression and Canada’s elimination, following a 4-0 victory for the former over the latter earlier in the evening in Bochum.
Nigeria went into their second group match knowing defeat would end their tournament ambitions, and indeed Germany got little return out of the well-organised Africans for periods of the match.
The Europeans made an early statement of intent as Birgit Prinz set Simone Laudehr free, but goalkeeper Precious Dede reacted quickly to make the save. The hosts dominated possession early and Kim Kulig’s shot from outside the penalty area again called the Nigeria No1 into action.
The underdogs came alive in the attacking third midway through the half, with Rita Chikwelu stealing possession in midfield, but Sarah Michael was unable to deliver a precise square ball with the retreating German defence stretched.
Nigeria were now gaining in confidence, while the home side were occasionally guilty of sloppy passing, much to the chagrin of Silvia Neid, who sometimes cut an animated presence on the sideline. The Germany coach’s mood would not have improved just past the half-hour mark as midfielder Melanie Behringer was forced to leave the field with what appeared to be a serious injury. Behringer’s misfortune allowed a hero of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2010, Alexandra Popp, to enter the fray.
The half concluded with Nigerian starlet Ebere Orji firing an effort from 18 metres, which missed the goal by just a metre or so.
The home side’s concerns were eased nine minutes into the second half as the deadlock was finally broken. Defensive midfielder Simone Laudehr collected a deserved reward for a hard-working display after thrashing home a loose ball from 12 metres, after Celia Okoyino Da Mbabi’s free-kick had caused havoc in the penalty area.
Nigeria, to their credit, retained their composure and Germany often only caused danger with long-range efforts at set-pieces. Kulig was again notable for her shooting from distance, though she was unable to trouble Dede.

IG Ringim goes to Washington
The Inspector-General of Police Hafiz Ringim left Nigeria on Sunday on a five-day working visit to Washington, USA. His mission? He's there for talks with U.S officials on the current security situation in Nigeria. He went there to learn how to battle terrorism among other things. So hopefully when he gets back, Boko Haram will be in trouble. *lol*

Tuface Idibia & D’Banj win BET Best International Act: Africa Award
Tuface Idibia & D’Banj have both jointly won the BET Best International Act in Africa Award. Both of these artists are the only ones who have been featured in the BET Welcome to America series so far and I could sense a sort of setup. I guess BET will keep teasing Africa to increase our interest till they plunge into the continent. I’ve never heard of two nominees winning a BET award and it was the only occurence of its type at this years show. It seems there’s more to this story and I’d wanna find out what really went down.
Update: One of the commenters just pointed out that there was another tie at the 2011 BET Awards which was between Willow and Jaden Smith in the Young Stars Award category.
So I guess we should rename the award to Best International ActS? Smh. Don Jazzy though was not at the BET Awards as he was busy making music in New York. Oh yeah Kanye should also be quite happy right now, shouldn’t he? He won the Best Male Hip Hop Artist Award but wasnt at the show. I’m sure he could care less lol.

Chris Brown Crowned King at BET Awards... Despite Rihanna Fake-Out
And the winner is... Chris Brown! No, Rihanna! No, Chris Brown!
You may be confused, but not nearly so much so as the presenters at the BET Awards, who couldn't quite figure out which performer had won the fan-voted video of the year award. First, they announced Brown had earned the top trophy, then quickly "corrected" themselves to say it was actually going to Rihanna. The featured artist on Rihanna's song, Drake, took the stage and accepted it on her behalf, saying, "This is awkward." But it only got more ridiculous when, at the end of the telecast, host Kevin Hart announced that they were right the first time and Brown—who was smiling silently at his side—was the real winner, not his ex.
Everyone knew that Brown was in the house and Rihanna was MIA, but for a second, you might have wondered if this was some kind of publicity stunt where the BETs were really going to declare that the two ex-lovers were deadlocked.
After all, early in the telecast, there'd been a "tie" for the Young Star award between Willow Smith and Jaden Smith, as their famous parents were seen beaming in approval at the dead heat. That statistically improbable head-shaker let you know right away that this show would probably not feature the traditional awards-show sight of Ernst & Young accountants coming out in tuxedos to testify to the veracity of the voting.
Rihanna's supposed win was the sole shock of the night—while it lasted—as the three-and-a-half-hour telecast clearly marked Chris Brown's re-coronation as a forgiven popular favorite. Giving an acceptance speech after winning the first award of the night, for favorite male R&B singer, Brown made only the most oblique reference to his controversial troubles and tantrums. "I know it's been a long road," he told the cheering throng at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. "I appreciate every blessing that's in front of me... Public speaking is not my strong suit," he added—which may be the understatement of the year, after he was caught on camera last week uttering anti-gay epithets.
Maybe the BET Awards were doing Brown a favor, then, by denying him the chance to give his climactic acceptance speech and mistakenly giving that slot to Drake instead. The BETs do look out for their favorites.
That was clear despite the fact that Hart, a popular stand-up comic who was hosting for the first time, kept bragging about how irreverent he was. "Nobody is safe tonight, people!" he announced again and again—and again. But every star in attendance rested quite easy, as Hart never laid a glove on anybody, instead just throwing softballs how Puff changes his nicknames a lot, Snoop likes illicit substances, and Trey Songz takes his shirt off a lot. Bet he'll never work in this town again after those devastating jibes, right?
Meanwhile, what kind of jokes did Hart make about the night's star and its one genuinely controversial figure? Not a single one. On BET, King Chris Brown is too rehabilitated to be touched.
The epic-length show provided a somewhat unwieldy mixture of old-school and new. After an opening that featured Mary J. Blige joined by surprise guest Anita Baker, risque hip-hop aimed at younger viewers dominated the first two and a half hours of the telecast. But classic R&B and gospel took over in an older-skewing final hour that included a lengthy Patti LaBelle tribute.
The LaBelle homage was a highlight for many, in part because of the variety of performers paying homage to the soul queen. The irrepressible Cee-Lo kicked off the tribute by coming out in a porcupine-style wig, which he kept spraying with a bottle. He wasn't imitating just her vintage hair, but also her high notes, as he sang "Somebody Loves You, Baby (You Know Who It Is)." "He scared me!" LaBelle said later. The medley ended with gospel star Shirley Caesar doing a more (yes) reverent reading of "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" before LaBelle herself got on stage to perform "Love, Need and Want You."
The BET Awards had some interesting juxtapositions. Hart emceed a short tribute to the armed forces, with several stone-faced members of the military joining him on stage. Immediately prior to that was the most outrightly sexual segment of the show, with Trey Songz tearing off his shirt within seconds of appearing on stage, as promised ("It wouldn't be me if I didn't get a little nasty"). He was soon joined by Kelly Rowland, who provided Songz some "Motivation" and did a partial strip-tease of her own... although, mysteriously, she left her oversized hat on. Some viewers didn't recognize the ex-Destiny's Child member until she was announced after the fact.
The strangest juxtaposition of all? Co-presenters Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber. There seemed to be a Mrs. Robinson scenario threatening to develop, as the not-exactly-demure Minaj asked, "Justin, do you drive?" "Yes, I drive," Bieber answered. "Can you handle curves?" "Yes, I can." To pretty much everyone's relief, that marked an abrupt end to the statutory banter.
If Bieber seemed an odd presence at the BET Awards, despite his R&B-flavored music, that was only underscored by the fact that the telecast misspelled his name as "Beiber" in the opening credits. (Nothing personal, or racial, in the slight, as Shirley Caesar's name was also spelled incorrectly.)
The most ubiquitous award would have to go to Rick Ross, who performed on three separate occasions. After the hardly slender Ross went shirtless in the first of these, Hart cracked that Ross "should put a sports bra on. It was all over the place!"
After her triumphant appearance at the recent Billboard Awards, Beyonce's performance was the most anticipated of the night... except maybe to those who realized ahead of time she would not be there in person. Her two-song spot was taped earlier in England during her headlining appearance at the Glastonbury Festival. The tour choreography was not quite so elaborate as what she recently pulled off for the TV cameras. But it was still the best-danced song of the night, and by general consensus, the new song she premiered, the quasi-martial "End of Time," is not nearly as off-putting as "Run the World (Girls)," the failed single she was promoting at the Billboards.
As for what happened with the Brown/Rihanna mixup, conspiracy theories may abound, but there's probably a simple explanation. Throughout the night, presenters read the winners off a smartphone they carried onto the stage, "instead of those pesky little envelopes that get stuck and embarrass us presenters when we can't open it." But when it came time to give away the top trophy, they had a prize winner in tow, who may have looked at the prompter and mistakenly thought that the first nominee listed there was the winner. When it scrolled to the next nominee, she likely thought that was the winner—not remembering to look at the mobile device that was to reveal the real honoree.
Next year, maybe the BETs will retreat to "those pesky little envelopes."

Will Smith is not dead
A friend really did give me a call to inform me on Friday that Will Smith is dead.
FYI:
Will Smith is not dead, just the victim of a nasty rumor that you may have seen on the Internet this weekend.
The Village Voice reports that the latest celebrity death hoax started on FakeAWish.com, which allows users to create a news story using an actor’s first and last name. After typing in “Will” and “Smith,” a few options pop up, including the story, “Will Smith falls to his death in New Zealand.” Twitter users helped spread the rumor using a link to an official looking story from “Global Associated News” over the weekend.
It seems people have fallen for this exact rumor before. So don’t be fooled, Internet users, by stories with the headlines “Actor Will Smith hospitalized after traffic altercation” or “Luxury yacht sinks off coast of St. Tropez France; Actor Will Smith reported missing.”

Pink, Russell Simmons, Lady Gaga Celebrate a New Gay Marriage Law
Late on Friday, New York became the sixth (and most populous) state in the nation to pass a law allowing gay marriage, and in celebration, stars joined supporters of the measure to cheer the historic milestone on Twitter.
Pink gave an all-caps jump for joy, shouting, "CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! ABOUT TIME!"
Harris tweeted, "It PASSED! Marriage equality in NY!! Yes!! Progress!! Thank you everyone who worked so hard on this!! A historic night!" His elated partner, David Burtka, announced, "I've already proposed, he said yes! Thank god!" (He soon added a clarification: "Neil and I have been wearing rings for years. We have been engaged for a while. It did not just happen.")
Russell Simmons, who gave counsel to Tracy Morgan during the comic's recent homophobia controversy, logged on to tweet, "I applaud the work of our state gov't and all of the advocates on tonight's vote to legalize same sex marriage." He added, "The rights u take for granted are only valid if u fight to give those same rights to others."
Lady Gaga said, "I can't stop crying. We did it kids."
New Yorkers Alec Baldwin and Rosie O'Donnell joined the online praise; he tweeted, "Congrats....to Cynthia Nixon for all of her hard work on behalf of marriage equality" while O'Donnell wrote, "Happy gays r here again!!!!!"
LeAnn Rimes celebrated with the tweet, "Hell yeah NY! I have gotten several requests from friends....for a wedding singer!!!"
Joy Behar chimed in with, "Could not be more thrilled that gay marriage finally passed in NY. Congrats!!!"
Christina Applegate tweeted, "I am giddy! Congratulations New Yorkers! This is a proud moment! the way it should be! Love is love! humans are humans!"
'Cougartown' star Busy Phillips said, "I truly believe that OUR children & THIER children will look back on this time in disbelief that same-sex couples were not allowed to wed."
And with the caption "Not more, not less, just #EQUALITY," Ricky Martin posted a popular photo that was going viral overnight, of the Empire State Building illuminated in a rainbow of colors.

Michael Jackson's Death, Two Years Later
Today marks two years since the shocking death of Michael Jackson, and unsurprisingly, controversy surrounding the singer has hardly died down.
In the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, accused of administering the pop icon's fatal dose of meds, the defendant is allegedly maintaining his innocence so adamantly, TMZ reports that Murray wants to refuse any plea offer, including deals with no jail time.
Behind the scenes, Murray's team just won court approval to view hours of outtakes from the MJ documentary 'This Is It.' In gaining access to the top-secret footage, the defense seeks proof that Jackson was unwell in the days before his 2009 cardiac arrest.
As for Jackson's kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket were spotted taking in a movie on Friday. The three are in the care of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and reportedly thriving.
And outspoken as always about her family's dramas, 'Celebrity Apprentice' contestant LaToya Jackson has been making the rounds promoting her upcoming book. In 'Starting Over,' she insists Murray is merely the fall guy in a broader conspiracy plot carried out to kill her brother.
"This is definitely something that was premeditated, that they had planned to do, and they planned to take my brother out, and my brother knew it, and that's why my brother told me repeatedly....that this was going to happen to him," she said in a recent interview, according to CBS News. "He explained to me, 'It's because of my catalog.'" (Michael Jackson co-owned the lucrative Sony/ATV catalog, including Beatles music.)
A flock of Michael Jackson devotees are expected at his Las Vegas estate today, which is open to the public in memory of the singer's death. And later this year in Vegas, Cirque du Soleil kicks off 'Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour.' The musical extravaganza "turns his signature moves upside down" using acrobatics to interpret Jackson's legacy, according to Boombox.
Finally, for fans who are flush with cash, Jackson's iconic jacket from his 1983 'Thriller' video goes up for auction this weekend, expected to fetch $400,000 -- a pricey, but personal, piece of nostalgia that truly symbolizes the artist in his finest hour.

Rihanna Takes Another Tumble Onstage (Video)
On her Loud tour this summer, Rihanna has been wowing crowds. And we're guessing thousands of Canadian fans thought, "Wow, what a pro," after she took a spill onstage this week.
Not that she missed a beat! The singer, 23, was striding across the Edmonton, Canada, stage in stiletto boots when she tumbled to the ground. She's had similar mid-concert mishaps in the past, which may be why she seemed perfectly confident about shrugging it off and continuing her song.
Meanwhile, her tourmate Cee Lo Green may not be falling down, but he is dropping out. After a Twitter controversy in which the 'F--- You' singer lashed out at a critic of his recent live performance, the Grammy winner has resigned as Rihanna's opening act.
According to the New York Times, Green's spokesperson said, "He always puts 100 percent into his work and with the requirements and time commitment to 'The Voice,' on top of heading back into the recording studio and an upcoming book, he feels that he wouldn't give his fans the show that they deserve."
After a show in Vancouver this weekend, Rihanna plays three dates in California next week. She may be perfectly happy to bid adieu to Canada, considering how peeved she was by an MTVCanada report alleging that she admitted provoking Chris Brown's notorious 2009 assault.
Here's Rihanna's clumsy moment (and graceful recovery) in Edmonton earlier this week:

A BUSINESSMAN AND A BEAUTIFUL GIRL
A businessman met a beautiful girl and agreed to spend the night with her for $500. They did their thing, and, before he left, he told her that he did not have any cash with him, but he would have his secretary write a cheque and mail it to her, calling the payment 'RENT FOR APARTMENT.'
On the way to the office, he regretted what he had done, realizing that the whole event had not been worth the price. So he had his secretary send a cheque for $250 and enclose the following letter:
Dear Madam:
Enclosed find a cheque for $250 for rent of your apartment. I am not sending the amount agreed upon, because when I rented the place, I was under the impression that:
#1 - it had never been occupied;
#2 - there was plenty of heat; and
#3 - it was small enough to make me feel cozy and at home.
However, I found out that:
#1- it had been previously occupied,
#2 - there wasn't any heat, and
#3 - it was entirely too large.'
Upon receipt of the note, the girl immediately returned the check for $250 with the following
note:
'Dear Sir:
#1 - I cannot understand how you could expect a beautiful apartment to remain unoccupied
indefinitely.
#2 - As for the heat, there is plenty of it, if you know how to turn it on.
#3 - Regarding the space, the apartment is indeed of regular size, but if you don't have enough furniture to fill it, please do not blame the management.
So, Please send the rent in full or we will be forced to contact your present landlady.

Rihanna Facing Lawsuit From Second Photog Over "S&M" Video
Whips and chains may not hurt her, but it looks like Rihanna's in for another legal smackdown.
The "Man Down" singer is facing a second copyright infringement lawsuit filed by a Paris-based fashion photographer who alleges Rihanna pilfered images from his work for her bondage-themed "S&M" music video.
Memo to Ri-Ri: You might want to hire an art director next time.
Per RadarOnline, shutterbug Philipp Paulus accused Rihanna of ripping off a series of fashion shots from his Paperworld spread from August 2010 without his permission, including staging and sets in the video that he says are identical.
According to the website, the 19-year-old photog specifically singled out one shot that he contends was an obvious lift: a model in a billowy gown trapped against a wall by a sheet of plastic surrounded by large X's made out of black tape.
In "S&M," Rihanna strikes a pose wearing a flowing white dress as she's stuck against a wall by a layer of plastic with similar X marks (see Paulus' version on his website).
"For legitimate reasons the use of copying Paulus' work over a million times requires an agreement that protects the copyright and the achievements and creations of our client which has never been given by our client, neither to the artist Rihanna nor to her label Universal Music," states Paulus' attorney. "According to this, the copyright laws of our client has been infringed and the worldwide million-wise exploitation of the video S&M is unlawful. . .[and] Paulus will take legal action against Rihanna."
The photographer's legal eagle added that his client decided to proceed with the lawsuit after failing to reach a settlement with the diva's camp, which has so far refused to comment about the controversy.
As for Paulus, he didn't sound too forgiving.
"Why a worldwide celebrity is not able to afford a creative director, who creates individual concepts and stagings, is incomprehensible to me," the photographer told Radar. "To create new things within the creative cosmos, you can only expect this to come from a real genius, there is no doubt about that."
He continued: "However, in this case there is no real genius who created their own work; instead they stole ideas from a creative talent. Furthermore, every other creative professional should realize how supremely embarrassing it is to copy the work of colleagues from the artistic world and then to be praised for it."
He's not the only one taking issue with the 23-year-old hitmaker over unauthorized imagery.
Renowned artist and filmmaker David LaChapelle also sued Rihanna demanding a share of royalties on the grounds that she stole the whole look and feel of the video, including the hot-pink latex she wears and various S&M accoutrements, alleging that "the composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood [and] theme" is directly derived from his works.

Buju Banton sentenced to 10 years in prison on drug charges
Embattled reggae star Buju Banton has been sentenced to serve 10 years behind bars for allegedly planning a cocaine deal in 2009.
The Jamaican hit-maker was taken into custody two years ago after he was busted with two other men. The case originally went before a judge last year but ended in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
A second trial got underway in a Florida court in February and Banton was convicted on three counts - including conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine, which carries a potential 15-year sentence.
Banton appealed for a shorter term earlier this month and the judge in the case received letters from several of Banton's 15 children, Jamaican officials and celebrities including actor Danny Glover, asking him for leniency.
However, on Thursday June 23, U.S. District Judge James S. Moody ordered the singer, real name Mark Myrie, to serve 10 years behind bars.
The judge did throw out a gun possession charge, lowering Banton's sentence from 15 years to 10. He was also ordered to serve five years of probation following his release from prison, according to the Associated Press.

Lindsay Lohan Guilty of 'Poor Judgement,' Not Probation Violation
After testing positive for alcohol, Lindsay Lohan arrived in court this morning for a probation violation hearing -- a legal bout that was apparently never even supposed to take place.
After facing Judge Stephanie Sautner, in what looked like could have resulted in jail time for Lohan, it was ruled that the starlet would get off scot free -- but only on a technicality. Before being placed under house arrest, Lohan was ordered to adhere to controlled substance testing, not alcohol testing. On top of that, Lohan's substance testing was only supposed to take place between February 3 and February 25.
But the judge did rule that Lohan is only permitted one friend to visit her Venice, California home at a time. She is also forbidden from hosting any parties. According to Sautner, the only thing Lohan is guilty of is "extremely poor judgement," according to TMZ.
Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, was all smiles after the court appearance telling reporters, "I feel like you guys are disappointed ... [Lohan's] done nothing wrong. She's done everything right. So let's give her credit for that."
The forthcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations' star was tested twice last week for drugs and alcohol (tests that have now been deemed superfluous) while serving her sentence under house arrest, when she tested positive for alcohol, setting off a media firestorm. She is currently serving a four month house arrest sentence for stealing a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store -- a sentence that is supposed to culminate next week, on June 29.
Lohan also seemed to be in high spirits following her hearing: "Thank you to all my fans for your support. Sending you Love and Light. xo," she tweeted.
But other stars are less than thrilled with Lohan's lack of punishment: "What has happened to the justice system in the sate of California seem like all you have to be is famous & they let you get away w/ murder," Kelly Osbourne tweeted.
So what's one thing that Lohan did get out of her unnecessary court appearance? She finally nailed appropriate court attire. The troubled actress arrived at the LAX Airport Courthouse sporting black trousers, a button down shirt, aviators and a high ponytail -- a far cry from her previously revealing court get-ups.

Chris Brown Sends Rihanna Sexy Twitter Message
"You got that pic I sent you?" That's the tweet that is going to be heard 'round the world this week.
Chris Brown shot the 140 characters or less over to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna over the weekend, but removed the post -- most likely meant for Direct Message via Twitter -- quicker than you can think of blinking your eye.
Last month, Rihanna fans lit up the Internet disapproving of the 'Loud' singer's decision to follow her abusive ex-boyfriend on Twitter. "Its f***in twitter, not the alter! calm down," Rihanna responded to the backlash. Since then, their public interactions have gone the way of crickets chirping, until this latest flub on Brown's part.
While the message to Rihanna from Brown was removed quickly, fans were still able to snap a photo of the Twitter feed, which showed up on the not-too-trusty site MediaTakeout.com.
The question -- "You got that pic I sent you?" -- is pretty ironic too, considering Rihanna and Brown have both had nude photos of them leaked to the 'Net in the past, with many thinking the other was responsible for the unsolicited publicity.
In February, Rihanna had a judge lift the restraining order on Brown that resulted from his 2009 assault on her following a pre-Grammy party. Brown had asked that the order be lifted because it could be a "problem with award shows," where he was not allowed to come within 10 yards at any given ceremony. Both are nominated for several 2011 BET Awards.

Chris Brown Avoids Parking Ticket, Drops Racial and Homophobic Slurs
Chris Brown has found himself in the midst of controversy yet again, this time after he was threatened with a parking ticket. According to TMZ, C-Breezy had parked his hot set of wheels illegally and was in the process of sweet-talking a female police officer into letting him off easy -- which succeeded.
However, after Chris was cleared by the meter maid, he dropped several racially insensitive and homophobic slurs at the cameramen and accused the present law enforcement of calling the paparazzi.
Reportedly, Brown said, "Y'all n----- is weak. Did you all call them to try and film me? Y'ALL N----- IS GAY."
No word on what exactly Brown was up to, but between breaking windows and dropping gay slurs on camera it seems that getting a parking ticket would've been a better choice.

'Smallville' Actor Sam Jones Sentenced To 1 Year in Jail for Drugs Bust
'Smallville' actor Sam Jones III, has been sentenced to a year in prison for his role in a drug ring.
TMZ is reporting that Jones had plead guilty to conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 pills of Oxycodone, a painkiller, and was sentenced to 366 days in prison, even though the prosecutor wanted him to serve 5 years.
It is reported that before sentencing, Jones pleaded with the judge to show mercy explaining that he had lost everything including his dog, car and his acting role in 'Blue Mountain State' due to the drugs charges.
The judge showed leniency and said he was cutting the actor a break due to his "minor" role in the drug deal.
E! Online is reporting that in addition to the jail term, the judge has ordered that Jones to serve three years supervised probation once he's released from a jail.
Jones Tweeted a message after his sentencing, "Just got out of court! God is Great!! #FAITH!!!"
The 28-year-old actor was busted in 2009 after a raid at his home was conducted by DEA agents looking to shut down a drug ring trading in the illegal purchase and distribution of OxyContin.
Jones, currently free on bond, will have to surrender to authorities once it is determined which prison he will be going to serve his sentence.
Last week Jones' ex girlfriend, Playboy model Karissa Shannon, reportedly packed up and moved into the Playboy Mansion with her twin sister Kristina to be back with Hugh Hefner.
The Shannon Twins were Hefner's girlfriends in 2008 and moved out when the 85-year-old playboy founder announced his engagement to his now 'Runaway Bride' Crystal Harris, in 2010.
They are now back to console Hefner, after Harris left him a few days before the marriage, along with his reported new girlfriend Anna Sophia Berglund.

Police arrest and detain 'miracle child-birth' woman
Precious Donatus Ogbonna, the woman who claimed to have given birth to seven babies in one year was yesterday detained by the police in Owerri, Imo State. The seven kids have been taken to a motherless babies home in the town.
Sources told Vanguard that the Police stormed the house of the ‘miracle babies’ woman at Irete, Owerri, Monday evening and took her away to the State Police CID, opposite Government House, Owerri, for interrogation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Imo State Command, Mr. Linus Nwaiwu, confirmed the arrest to Vanguard saying the woman was invited for questioning.
Mrs. Ogbonna had earlier told Vanguard that her husband had abandoned their home and disclaimed the paternity of the babies.
She said: “He has not come home. He abandoned me and claims that he is not the father of the babies but I know only DNA test can convince him and bring him back.”
Mr. Ogbonna has been avoiding the press even when Vanguard was in Owerri to hear his side of the story.
A close friend of the controversial woman, Mrs. Evan-Ibeh Florence, who earlier hinted Vanguard of Mrs Ogbonna’s arrest said that she was instrumental to her friend’s visit to Lagos some weeks back which marked the beginning of her ordeal.
She said she did not know that bringing her to the public glare through the press would create problem for her friend, adding: “I never knew it would turn out this way for her, all I wanted was to get assistance from good spirited Nigerians for her through the press.”
At press time, Mrs. Ogbonna was still in detention at the state CID, Owerri, and all attempts to reach her on phone proved abortive.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Ibe told Vanguard that a DNA test has already been conducted and that the result was being awaited. She said that a popular TV presenter in Lagos was instrumental to carrying out the test, adding that the result would be ready soon to vindicate her friend.
Mrs. Ibe said: “I just hope the result comes soon to prove her story because I know she couldn’t have stolen the babies. They did the test some weeks ago and we are still expecting the result from South Africa.
“They did it for six babies about three weeks ago, the seventh baby was done recently because they did not bring along the birth certificate with them initially.”

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis split after two years
George Clooney, 50, and his Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, 32, have ended their two year relationship.
'We are not together anymore. It’s very difficult and very personal and we hope everyone can respect our privacy.' The ex-couple said in a joint statement to America's Entertainment Tonight.
'We are not together anymore. It’s very difficult and very personal and we hope everyone can respect our privacy.' The ex-couple said in a joint statement to America's Entertainment Tonight.
Elisabetta is a firm believer in marriage, George is not. He doesn't even seem to want children. I think George should stop wasting the time of all these young women who eventually want marriage and children, and date a single or divorced woman with kids.
"How we sealed the deal with Kanye West" - Don Jazzy
For those who ever wondered how they pulled it off, Don Jazzy explains in an interview with Rasheed Abubakar of Encomium mag.
Don Jazzy: "Sometime in November last year, D'Banj and the crew went for a wedding that had a lot of celebrities and artists in Dubai. And when they finished performing, they were set to come back to Lagos. At the airport, D'Banj was mistaken for Kanye West because of his dressing and swagger, especially the taxi drivers who were displaying their placards with different inscriptions indicating their love and support for Kanye. They rushed at D'Banj and shouted Mr. Kanye West, we love your music. He however made them realise he was not kanye but a singer from Nigeria. After the drama, D'Banj sensed that Kanye West was being expected at the airport which explained why the drivers were waiting for his arrival, so they decided to wait to see if they could talk to him.
When Kanye arrived, a member of D'Banj's entourage, Mr Bankole approached Kanye West in a very respectful manner and introduced himself as D'Banj's manager, one of the greatest artists in Africa and Kanye was willing to listen to what they had to say. D'Banj introduced himself and showered accolades on Kanye West. He played him some of his songs on ipad and told him he just finished an international collaboration with Snoop Dogg. After listening to the songs, Kanye was amazed that the songs were coming from Africa. Kanye asked for the producer of the songs and D'Banj told him it was Don Jazzy but Don Jazzy wasn't there with them in Dubai. Kanye asked D'Banj when he would be coming to the US and D'Banj told him we would be coming to shoot the video with Snoop. Kanye then told D'Banj to meet him in New York before the video shoot. The day we went to New York, we called his manager because Kanye does not use a phone and we met in Wyclef's studio called Platinum in NY around 6pm. We played Kanye more songs and he was really impressed. He proposed to buy us into his record label G.O.O.D Music but told us he would discuss with his management team and get back to us. After six months, we got the news on June 9 that myself and D'Banj have been signed.

Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress Immortalized in Hall of Fame
Vegetarians, beware: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is serving up one very famous -- and controversial -- meat dress worn by Lady Gaga at the MTV Music Awards last fall.
The item is part of a new Women Who Rock exhibit at the Cleveland museum. Gaga went from rocking a rack of meat to having it preserved for the ages. Literally. The hand-sewn meat dress is now more of a beef jerky dress. Let us explain.
The Argentinean slabs of tartare may have been barbeque-ready when Gaga put them on last September. The singer modeled the dress when she accepted the Best Video of the Year, "Bad Romance," wearing it to proclaim, as she put it, "I am not a piece of meat." But let's face it: The freshness date of the frock -- and matching meat boots -- have long since passed.
A post on NPR explains the process for preserving the meat dress: The edible fashion statement "was kept in a meat locker, placed in a vat of chemicals and then dried out by taxidermists in California before being transported to the museum." Just one problem. It looked like a bunch of beef jerky -- which doesn't exactly pack the same punch.
To create a raw beef look, the jerky was painted over to appear fresh. That process took several months. So now, hopefully, the dress seen round the world won't be smelled round the world. Delicious.

Al Pacino and Alec Baldwin Show Off Their Young Girlfriends at the Tony Awards
Al Pacino and Alec Baldwin showed off their gorgeous and much younger girlfriends on the red carpet at the Tony Awards on Sunday.
Pacino, 71, was seen with his Argentinean girlfriend, actress Lucila Sola, 31.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Sola and Pacino went public with their relationship in April last year but were reported to have split later on in the year.
The couple seemed very much together at the red carpet and Sola, a vision in her lilac gown, was seen tightly holding Pacino's hand.

Justin Timberlake on Weed: 'Some People Are Just Better High'
Although we'd like to think that Justin Timberlake's fans are smart enough to make their own choices, we have a feeling that the former Mouseketeer may receive some bad role model flak for his recent accolades for a certain herbal wonder, marijuana.
"The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking," Timberlake told Playboy. "Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high."
According to the actor, comedian and singer, a mellowed out brain is exactly what he needs.
"I feel I'm just getting to a point in my life where I'm looking around, going, there's a lot to enjoy if I can just sit still, actually stop and take more time."

But Timberlake's new mantra may put his singing career a little too far on the back burner.
"I don't have a single song ready to go," he said. "People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don't know what to say."
Maybe Timberlake's puff puff pass habit also had something to do with his split from longtime girlfriend, Jessica Biel -- we can't imagine the poised actress ever partaking in Timberlake's zen searching pastime.
But whatever Timberlake's doing -- he's got another box office hit up his sleeve in 'Friends with Benefits' -- his career couldn't be hotter. Blaze on, brother!
A Sad Day at Playboy Mansion Fiancee Bails on Wedding: 'Crystal Had a Change of Heart'
The third time was anything but a charm for Hugh Hefner, whose wedding to Crystal Harris has been called off. "The wedding is off," Hefner glumly told his Twitter followers Tuesday. "Crystal has had a change of heart." According to TMZ, the 25-year-old model left the Playboy Mansion over the weekend after having a fight with the publishing mogul, 60 years her senior.
Multiple sources told the site that Harris moved her things out of the mansion and that the wedding, set for Saturday June 18, was canceled. It would have been Hefner's third marriage.
Multiple sources told the site that Harris moved her things out of the mansion and that the wedding, set for Saturday June 18, was canceled. It would have been Hefner's third marriage.
Harris, who earlier in the day promoted a comedic video that revolves around her relationship, released a statement on her website to explain her decision.
"After much deep reflection and thought I have decided to end my engagement with Hef," she wrote. "I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward. I hope the media will give each of us the privacy we deserve during this time."
Hefner didn't hint at any domestic disruptions on Saturday when he tweeted to a fan in England the details of the wedding. "The wedding is next Saturday (June 18)," he wrote. "And airs on Lifetime on July 13." He was also a major presence at the Playboy Jazz Festival, where he was spotted on Saturday with Harris on the festival grounds.Harris has not been silent on Twitter either, but has focused her words on promoting a new single, 'Club Queen.' On Monday -- that's after she left him, according to TMZ -- Hefner helped his fiancee promote her music career with another tweet to his 638,000 followers.
Hefner, 85, and Harris, 25, began dating in January 2009 and became engaged around Christmas. The blond bombshell was slated to wear a pink wedding gown when she walked down the aisle in the backyard of the Playboy Mansion and, according to the couple, the nuptials were to be a colorful affair not unlike a "garden party." About 300 people were invited.
One of Hefner's former girlfriends, Holly Madison, expressed concern early on in the engagement that the couple was moving too fast and that Harris could potentially hurt her ex-beau.
"I think it's possible Crystal could break Hef's heart," Madison said. "They could end up divorcing, and she could take half his money."
Hef was previously married to Mildred Williams and Kimberly Conrad.
Harris lampooned the 60-year age gap with Hefner in a Funny or Die video released just today. In it, she promotes the 'The Playboy App' for smartphones that will make you "knowledgeable about things older people are interested in, which is helpful when you're dating Hugh Hefner." She sent a link to the video to her 175,000 Twitter followers, even though she had already left Hefner.
